Celebrating an Amazing life

WHAT A LOSS!!!! With great shock and deep sorrow in my heart, I have just received the heartbreaking news of the passing of a truly special sister and friend, Adefunke Kuyoro She was an absolute force—exceptionally hardworking, genuinely warm, and a joy to be around. As I look through photos and cherished memories of her celebrating my 60th birthday with me, I am overwhelmed with grief. That memorable celebration was lovingly organized by my darling big sister, Evelyn Nneka Obiamiwe-Brisibe Even now, as I look at the beautiful gift Adefunke gave me, tears flow freely. The reality of this loss is difficult to comprehend. Last year, you admired a beautiful set of crystal bracelets handcrafted by my sister, Evelyn. I promised to give you a set as a gift. For several Sundays, I looked out for you in church, hoping to present them to you, and I often wondered why I had not seen you around. That concern eventually prompted me to send you a message. On your birthday, I sent you a birthday song, and you graciously acknowledged it. And now this? My heart struggles to accept that you are gone. Today, I lift up her precious children, family, and all those she has left behind in prayer. May the Lord surround them with His unfailing love, grant them His overwhelming peace, comfort their grieving hearts, and carry them through this painful season. Sleep well, my dear friend.
