Celebrating an Amazing life
Let the memory of Mrs Adefunke Kuyoro be with us forever.
This memorial page was created in loving memory of our loved one, MRS. ADEFUNKE ADETEJU KUYORO (NÉE ADEJUMO), 3 October 1961 – 2 June 2026, who passed away at the age of 64.We will remember her forever.
Our President Mrs Kuyoro a.k.a. Mrs K, as she was fondly called, you probably have experienced her love for God, life, fantastic energy, humour, passion for helping people learn and thrive, and her seemingly constant generosity, joy, and optimism.

While we mourn her physical absence, I chose to celebrate her New Beginning of Life and display of how the righteous get to be ushered from this temporary home on earth to permanent mansion, into the Lord's presence. Halleluyah!
In 2016, Mrs Kuyoro and I met when she joined NNEW while I was serving as the National Publicity secretary. I respected her humility and readiness to serve and take instructions, though she was well aware all of us in the National executive were junior to her in age. That for me is 1Peter 5:6 in action "Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hands of God, that he may exalt you in due time"
Then 2024 came with her already being our President at NNEW. Having been away from Lagos for a while, we met shortly after my return at a function, and it was another Mrs Kuyoro that I was trying to understand what was going on. She remained so passionate about NNEW and wanting to see every woman entrepreneur succeed. But in the midst of that, was also kind of absent and many of us did not know what was happening. BUt she remained resolute with Romans 13:8 "Owe no man anything, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law". This was demonstarted with her reaching out to me on NNEW matters in the midst of her personal challenges.
Then 2026 came, and was surprised to see her details sent to me by the church we both attended in Canada, which I didn't know until the church email came. And that is how she became one of the ladies in the church group fellowship I am leading, Jesus's Ladies eGroup of Elevation Church, Toronto Canada (elevationchurch.org/toronto). And we had such a great conversation, and I was opportuned to re-meet the ever so humble Mrs Kuyoro. A woman of great faith, great passion and just loving the Lord. Based on the culture of first name basis, she became simply Adefunke. She related with everyone in such humility, including many young Nigerians in our midst. Since her transition, many of them spoke to how her faith left indelible impression on them.
While it seems as if there was no healing of her body on this side of heaven, I saw lots of healing took place in her inner core and simply grateful to the Lord to have witnessed that. Her last appearance at the eGroup was on Tuesday 21st April 2026. As she always did when called to pray, she prayed us into the meeting right from deep within her heart, only we did not know that was last time she would be attending. She already shared with us her medical situation and was in some pain, yet she prayed with passion.
So glad the Lord honored you dear Mrs K and rewarded you for living your life according to Phillipians 3:14 "I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus". No wonder the Lord honored your persistent prayer regarding Demilade and ensured you witnessed the answer right while still with us in the flesh. And what an incredible way to leave in chariots driven by the hosts of heaven, right in the middle of worship, as shared by Mayowa, when we spoke.
You lived well and left well. Glory to the Lord Most HIgh!
