Mrs. Adefunke Kuyoro

Adefunke Kuyoro, CEO of TWC Events Services, holds a BSc in Combined Sciences from the University of Brighton and a postgraduate diploma in Development Studies. With over 40 years of experience in IT, HR, and event planning, she founded TWC Events Services in 2011 after relocating to Nigeria. She also co-founded The Event Business Academy and runs an HR consultancy. A board member of several companies, she is passionate about child safety and public health, serving on the board of Strap and Safe Child Foundation. She is currently President of NECA’s Network of Entrepreneurial Women and mentors through FCMB’s She Ventures program. She is married with four children.

CEO, TWC Events Services, Adefunke Kuyoro, completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Brighton UK, finishing with a second class upper in BSc Combined Sciences (Chemistry and Computer Sciences) in 1982. She also has a post graduate Diploma in Development Studies. She has a diploma in Business Management from the European Business University.

She began her working career with the Federal Ministry of Finance as a systems analyst and later moved on to DPMS (Formerly IBM) as Systems support staff. She left DPMS to set up a business centre and Computer hardware and software company called Nicodep Computers Limited.

She has more than 40 years of experience as a IT, Human Resources and Events Planning.

On her relocation back to Nigeria in 2011 she setup a Wedding planning and events management company, TWC Events Services (formerly known as The Wedding Care). She is the co-founder of The Event Business Academy and currently serves as the Head of Admin and Finance. She currently run a consultancy service on human resources. Helping provide clarity on best practices HR processes for businesses of varying sizes. She currently serves on the board as a director of GMS Travels Limited a travel and Tourism Company and Group Messenger Service a property development company.

Due to her passion for public health and safety and her wealth of experience in the NGO (Charity) sector, she was invited to join the board of Strap and Safe Child Foundation, an NGO whose focus is on child safety in the Home School and Road, She is the immediate Past President of APPOEMN, and has also served as Vice President for two terms.

She is also currently serving as the President of NECA’s Network of Entrepreneurial Women NNEW (2 terms). She is also actively engaged as a mentor with FCMB/NNEW’s She Ventures Mentoring program. In addition, she is the immediate past Chairperson of NNEW, Lagos Chapter, also the President of her School Old girls association.

Adefunke is happily married and blessed with four children who are also making a difference in their various spheres of influence.
