Mr. Wale-Smatt Oyerinde
Mr. Wale-Smatt Oyerinde, Director-General of NECA, has over 16 years of experience in HR, industrial relations, and business sustainability. He leads over 4,000 employers and 35 sectoral federations in Nigeria. A member of the ILO Governing Body, he's an ILO-trained Master Trainer, ISO 9001:2015 Auditor, and Life Coach. He is pursuing a PhD in Industrial Relations at the University of Lagos and is also an author, speaker, and youth advocate.
Mr. Wale-Smatt Oyerinde, MCIPM, FMINILS, is the Director-General of the Nigeria Employers’ Consultative Association (NECA), the largest and most influential business membership organisation in Nigeria. With over 16 years of experience in human resources and industrial relations, organisational development, business sustainability, and evidence-based advocacy, he leads the strategic growth and development of over 4,000 employers and 35 sectoral federations across all sectors of the economy.
Mr. Wale-Smatt Oyerinde is also a member of the Governing Body of the International Labour Organisation (ILO). He is an ILO-trained Master Trainer, a UNIDO-trained ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Auditor, and a Life/Personal Effectiveness Coach. He is passionate about promoting decent work, social justice, and inclusive development for all. I am currently pursuing my PhD in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management at the University of Lagos, where I also obtained my Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees. He is an author, public speaker, youth advocate, and teacher.
